Auto Heat Shield 1998 Honda Civic Stalling?

1998 honda civic stalling? - auto heat shield

my friends 1998 Honda Civic is go in neutral, sometimes the towers are very far when breakpoint, only the positions that are not urgent, the brake
When I heard that the first of what came to mind, that was the alternator and battery
We are Advance Auto and they tested the alternator and battery, this guy said that the alternator is overheating, so you can replace the alternator and put a heat shield

What do you think?

Honda Civic Coupe is a 1998 shift, stick, with an exhaust pipe, right, and a cold air intake (and yes it is a potato masher)

When the generator was overheated because the heat would have worn by the friction generated in a warehouse (I saw this event, the output voltage no, really). This seems strange to me, though. Make sure to buy the car in neutral voltage (several meters cheapie for $ 6). It should be 13.8-14.5 volts or less. If the ball in the park, not your alternator.
